HxAR Pixel Maps — Central RomeThe shared HexTile colour canvas.

Explore the complete fixed Central Rome canvas now: move around, zoom in and inspect its HexTile geometry. The canvas is centred on the Colosseum, covering ancient Rome — the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and Arch of Constantine — and spans roughly 4 km × 2 km. A shared Rome base pattern gives the canvas its roads, water, buildings and places; sparse choices saved to HxAR’s Production database override individual tiles. All 16 active colours can appear here. The colours work now; the behaviour attached to some types may change as HxAR develops.

Product status: live, read-only colour canvas. The viewer works in this browser, but it cannot paint, save or submit a tile choice. Its protected Production feed carries only sparse visual overrides for the shared base map, with no owner or address data.

Where is the Rome Pixel Map?

The Central Rome read-only canvas is ready below.

You can test the fixed 214,016-HexTile canvas on this page without installing another app build. Its geometry, pan, zoom, selection, keyboard controls, responsiveness and current Production colours can be checked now.

The website is a viewer, not a drawing tool. Permitted changes are made only in the HxAR app through Search Location → HxAR Metaverse → tap a HexTile → Details → Tiles. HxAR saves the chosen type to its Production CloudKit HexTile record using terrain or plannedTileType. A protected, read-only Production feed supplies only sparse colour overrides and canvas positions required to layer those choices over the shared Rome base.

What is testable nowLive colours · read-only canvas · 16 active typesThis website cannot change, own, assign or purchase a HexTile. It sends no Pixel Maps tile update and displays no owner or address data.

The canvas starts with a versioned Central Rome pattern, then layers active HexTile choices saved to HxAR’s Production database only—not Development—and checks using the schedule saved on this device. The website never changes, assigns or purchases a tile.
