Augmented reality should add to a place without distracting from the people, property and conditions already there.
Stay aware of the real world
Stop moving before interacting with detailed controls. Watch for roads, steps, people, obstacles and changing conditions. Never use HxAR while driving or operating equipment.
Stop if you feel unwell
Pause immediately if augmented reality causes eye strain, dizziness, nausea, disorientation or discomfort. Move to a safe position before taking off headphones or looking away from the device.
Respect property and boundaries
A digital HexTile, object or destination never grants physical access. Do not trespass, enter restricted areas or interfere with homes, workplaces or public operations.
Create responsibly
Only upload content you have the right to use. Do not place experiences intended to harass, mislead, intimidate or create a physical hazard.
Protect personal information
Treat public profiles and published scenes as visible to other people. Avoid placing private addresses, personal documents or sensitive information into public content.
Report harmful content
If an experience appears unsafe, unlawful or abusive, stop engaging with it and use the HxAR reporting route with enough detail to identify the content.
Age rating
Apple currently rates HxAR 16+ because the app includes user-generated content and unrestricted web access. The rating does not replace supervision, local rules or good judgement.
Contact the appropriate local emergency service. HxAR support cannot provide emergency assistance or monitor locations in real time.
