How to View Insights, Top Referrers and Referral Activity in HxAR

Insights & Activity brings HxAR’s service-wide figures and referral records into one place. A recorded recommendation can change the leaderboard, but it does not currently create energy, a free HexTile or an automatic reward. The separate administrator promotion-code work is included here so the intended route is clear without presenting unfinished behaviour as something users can rely on.

Quick walkthrough

Use Insights and understand referrals in nine steps.

Start with the three Insights cards, then separate public rankings and analytics from the promotion workflow that still needs finishing.

  1. 01

    Open Insights from the dashboard

Rotate the outer dashboard dial until Insights appears, allow the dial to settle, then tap the shortcut.

  2. 02

Choose one of the three cards

Open Top Referrers for rankings, Analytics Dashboard for service-wide figures or Activity Log for recent referral records.

  3. 03

    Understand how a recommendation begins

A new user can enter an existing HxAR username when creating their profile. A valid match is saved as their recommender after the new profile is created.

  4. 04

    Read Top Referrers carefully

The destination is headed Top Recommenders. It loads ten ranked records at a time; expand a member to see the public profiles and join dates currently linked to that recommender.

  5. 05

    Explore the Analytics Dashboard

Review People & Growth, Search Location & Tiles, VR Buildings and App Usage. These are service-wide development figures rather than private personal performance reports.

  6. 06

Use Activity Log as a recent feed

Open a referral event to view either public profile. Treat the screen as recent recorded activity, not a complete or independently verified referral history.

  7. 07

Do not assume a ranking earns a reward

The current referral path updates count, link and activity records only. It contains no automatic energy payment, reward threshold or free-HexTile grant.

  8. 08

Treat administrator promotion codes as unfinished

The development source can create a one-use 100% promotion code with an expiry, but it does not select winners from referrals, send a dedicated code notification or complete the user redemption journey reliably.

  9. 09

Wait for an official, working promotion

Do not share or act on an unsolicited code. A future promotion needs published eligibility and expiry rules, a protected in-app delivery route and a confirmed redemption flow before this guide can describe it as available.

Open Insights and choose the right destination

Insights is one of the destinations on the rotating outer dashboard dial. Rotate until the shortcut is visible, let the dial settle and tap it. The screen opens as a normal scrollable page with a back control rather than an AR card.

Top Referrers opens the referral leaderboard. Analytics Dashboard opens four groups of service-wide figures. Activity Log shows recent referral events across HxAR. None of these three cards is a promotion-code inbox or a personal earnings balance.

The screenshot’s small grey descriptions are repeated as readable text throughout this guide. The empty lower area is part of the captured phone layout and does not mean more cards failed to load.

A recommendation is entered when the new profile is created

The referral starts with the new user, not from an Invite button in Insights. During profile creation, the optional Who recommended you to HxAR? field accepts an existing username. HxAR waits briefly while typing, looks up that username and shows whether it found a valid account.

After the new profile saves successfully, the current development path stores the recommender on that profile, increments a RecommendationStats count, writes a ReferralLink between the two account identifiers and adds a Referral ActivityEvent. Those are separate CloudKit operations, so a later failure can leave the count, link and activity feed temporarily inconsistent.

Insights has no shareable referral URL, personal invite code, contact-book upload or way to add a recommender later. Entering a username is optional. The current source also does not independently verify an offline recommendation or prevent coordinated account creation, so a displayed count is not proof of ten distinct genuine recommendations.

The profile-creation sentence that recommenders earn energy is ahead of the implementation. This source review found no referral call that credits Hexagon Tokens, HxElectrum, another energy balance, a collectable or a HexTile.

Top Referrers ranks recorded recommendations

The landing card says Top Referrers, while the destination header says Top Recommenders and its navigation title says Leaderboard. They describe the same development screen.

The leaderboard asks CloudKit for RecommendationStats ordered by recommendation count and loads ten records at a time. Select Next Page when another cursor is available. A row shows the stored username and recommendation count; select the row to expand or collapse the people currently linked to that recommender.

An expanded entry can show the referred person’s display name, username and joined date and can open that person’s public profile. A referral link whose profile can no longer be loaded is omitted from the expanded list.

Rank is informational. There is no encoded winner threshold, fixed reward table, closing date, anti-fraud decision or tie-breaking rule. HxAR should not describe someone as having earned a prize until an administrator has applied published promotion rules and issued a valid reward.

Analytics Dashboard shows service-wide development figures

The Analytics Dashboard is labelled Public Analytics inside the destination. Its overview combines unique active users, actively owned Search Location tiles, configured VR buildings and tracked Tokens and Content views. It is not an account statement and does not show how much a particular referrer has earned.

People & Growth shows unique users over the last seven and 30 days, all-time users active at least once, cumulative signup records and daily and yearly activity charts. Search Location & Tiles shows active ownership, saved tile states and the current Grass, Road, Water and Property Land breakdown. VR Buildings shows building, floor and room totals. App Usage shows recorded Tokens and Content views and USDZ upload activity.

These values are aggregated in the app from the CloudKit records currently available to the development account. Tracking can be incomplete, duplicated, delayed or unavailable, so they should not be presented as audited financial, advertising or contractual figures.

Activity Log is a recent public referral feed

Activity Log requests records whose event type is Referral. A visible event says that one public username referred another and includes a date and time. Both usernames can open their public profiles.

The feed can omit an event when one of the related profiles cannot be loaded. It does not continue through a CloudKit cursor, and profile lookups complete separately, so it should be treated as recent available activity rather than a permanent, complete or strictly ordered audit trail.

A public referral feed can reveal an association between two accounts. Before release, HxAR needs clear notice at profile creation, appropriate CloudKit access roles, a way to correct disputed attribution and a reviewed reporting or blocking route.

Referral promotion rewards are an administrator-selected proposal

The intended idea is that an administrator could review genuine recommendations and choose a member for a promotional HexTile. The current source does not connect RecommendationStats to the promotion-code system. It has no automatic threshold, scheduled draw, winner selector, entitlement record or promise that a top position receives anything.

The administrator-only Settings card can generate a four-part promotion code. In the reviewed screen, codes use a 100% discount, default to an expiry 30 days ahead and can optionally store a particular tile identifier. The CloudKit record is marked unused until redemption and stores the redeeming account only afterwards.

That makes the code a bearer secret rather than an account-bound award before it is redeemed. A future promotion should define eligibility, selection, expiry, duplicate-account handling, the number and type of rewards, what happens when a chosen tile is unavailable and whether the recipient may choose another eligible tile.

A free promotional HexTile would still be a virtual HxAR entitlement under the normal one-year ownership and renewal rules. It would not be land, legal title, guaranteed audience, cash, wages, commission, cryptocurrency or a prize supplied by Apple.

Promotion-code notification and redemption are not ready

HxAR Notifications currently recognises six categories covering sponsorships, Remote Snooker and Collectables. There is no promotion-code notification category, no recipient picker or Send action in the administrator code screen, no claim button in a notification and no source link that automatically sends a code to a top referrer.

The generic in-app notification record can display administrator-supplied title and message text, but an unknown promotion type falls back to another category and a notification without property or Collectables data has no code-redemption destination. Describing promotion codes as delivered through Notifications is therefore a proposed workflow, not a current feature.

The map purchase review does expose a Promo Code button. However, the reviewed route marks the code redeemed before its surrounding sheet validates it again, while a local free-credit flag is written but never read. A code linked to a tile can also be consumed before a failed ownership attempt is repaired. Until that end-to-end path is fixed and tested, this website must not instruct users that a code will reliably grant a free tile.

When the feature is ready, notification permission must remain optional. A reward should also be retrievable from a protected in-app account screen, because users may disable Apple banners or hide Lock Screen previews. Do not place a redeemable bearer code directly in an exposed system-alert preview.

What a safe future redemption journey should require

A released promotion should begin with official rules inside HxAR or on hxar.io. The user should be able to see why they were selected, which account received the award, the expiry, whether the code is bound to a specific tile and the support route before attempting redemption.

The intended map journey is to find an available HexTile, assign it to the signed-in account, open the tile purchase review and choose Promo Code. HxAR must validate the code and tile together, grant ownership atomically, mark the code used only after success and provide a durable confirmation. A failure should leave either a reusable code or a recoverable pending award.

Do not share a promotion code, enter one received through an unofficial message or pay somebody for a supposedly free HxAR tile. If a future official code is missing, expired unexpectedly or consumed without a grant, keep the notification and confirmation details and contact Support.

Understand what referral and analytics records can reveal

RecommendationStats, ReferralLink, ActivityEvent, UserDailyActivity, analytics and PromoCode records use HxAR’s public CloudKit database. The interface presents referral usernames, public profiles and join dates to other signed-in users. Public CloudKit is a database scope, not a promise that every record is readable by everyone, but the deployed role permissions still need a separate audit.

The reviewed account-deletion path does not explicitly sweep RecommendationStats, ReferralLink, ActivityEvent, UserDailyActivity or PromoCode records. Deleting a UserProfile can stop some names from resolving while the underlying account identifiers or redeemedByUserID remain. That deletion and correction gap must be fixed before HxAR promises complete removal of referral and analytics data.

Only use a username that the recommender expects to be associated with your profile. If an attribution is wrong or a public event creates a concern, use Support or Report Content while the in-app correction and blocking controls are still being completed.

Read the figures accessibly and solve common problems

The Analytics cards and headline metrics include combined VoiceOver labels, and chart components provide summary accessibility values. The full Larger Text, contrast, chart-navigation, focus order and expanded-leaderboard experience still needs release testing. Use this HTML guide when the screenshot’s muted card descriptions are too small.

If Top Referrers does not load, check the connection and return to the page; select Next Page only once the current results appear. If expanding a member shows no people, the referral links may be missing or their public profiles may no longer resolve.

Pull down in Analytics to request fresh People, Usage and Search Location figures. A dash or empty chart can mean loading, no tracked data or a CloudKit error. It does not prove that HxAR has no users, tiles, buildings or activity.

If an expected recommendation is absent, remember that the new user must have entered and validated the username during profile creation. The later writes are separate: RecommendationStats drives the leaderboard count, ReferralLink drives the expanded people list and ActivityEvent drives Activity Log. A partial failure can update one view while another remains missing. There is currently no self-service correction, backfill or reward claim in Insights.
